The Big Bear Sports Center in Billings sits closed in February.

Big Bear Sports Center in Billings will begin selling off store fixtures, office furniture and other display equipment starting next week.

The store has been closed since Nov. 4 when a 10-hour standoff inside the building left one man dead and the store and its inventory heavily damaged.

In February Big Bear announced it had sold its Great Falls store and were preparing to close it. But officials there declined to comment on the future of the Billings store until its insurance claims had been worked out.

Since February repeated calls and a dozen messages left at Big Bear Sports headquarters have not been returned, including a call and voice message left Thursday morning.

The store announced the fixture sale on its Facebook page, stating that it will begin Wednesday and will go through May 5. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays.

Along with the store fixtures and office furniture, Big Bear will also be selling signs and banners, mannequins and office supplies. In the post, the store announced it will accept only cash.
