Taco lovers in Billings Heights and the West End will soon have a new treat.

Great Falls-based franchise Taco Treat is building new restaurants inside the Rimrock Mall food court and at 1667 Main St.

Linda and Arnie Knight of Billings, who own the current Taco Treat at 1313 Grand Ave., are spending $125,000 to remodel a building in the Heights to open in October, according to the city of Billings.

Taco Treat’s corporate office owns the mall location, which is expected to open in early August, according to the Knights.

Taco Treat serves tacos, enchiladas, burritos, nachos and other Mexican-style food. The restaurants are quick-serve, sit-down eateries.

The Knights, who opened the Grand Avenue location 4½ years ago, said high demand is driving the expansion.

“We’re so busy, and we don’t have room where we’re at. We have a number of our cusomters that have asked us to move to the Heights. It seemed like a good opportunity, when the building became available,” Linda Knight said.

Their partners at the Heights location are their son and daughter-in-law, Andy and April Knight.

Taco Treat has seven locations in Billings, Great Falls, Helena, Missoula and Havre.
