First Interstate Bank eliminated one marketing position and two graphic artist jobs in a restructuring of its marketing department.
The bank, which now operates in six states, had different directors managing its internal communications and its external communications. Executives there have combined the two "to better align with our new strategic plan," said Renee Newman, president of wealth management and client experience.
The bank will be more aggressive with its public relations. Leaders want to better understand across multiple states how and if its customers recognize the First Interstate name and brand, she said.
Once they understand how costumers find and recognize the bank, they'll understand better how to reach them, she said.
