Kampgrounds of America Inc. recently announced several changes to the structure of its marketing department at its home office in Billings.

Whitney Scott has been promoted to the role of vice president of marketing. She was previously the assistant vice president of marketing. In her new role, Scott oversees all national marketing initiative, as well as marketing functions that serve both the KOA franchise system and its corporately owned campgrounds. Scott is also in charge of KOA’s customer service, as well as all digital and international marketing initiatives.

Scott graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, and also earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Montana.

KOA’s successful camper loyalty program, KOA Value Kard Rewards, and all KOA brand partnership marketing have also been brought under the Marketing Department umbrella.

KOA marketer Brandi Simpson has been promoted to KOA’s senior director of loyalty. In that role, Simpson will be in charge of Kampgrounds of America’s Value Kard Rewards loyalty program, which has more than 330,000 active camper members throughout North America.

Simpson first joined KOA in 1999 and served as a marketing and communications manager until 2007, when she left to join Kinetic Marketing & Creative in Billings as its director of client marketing. She returned to KOA in 2014 to serve as KOA’s integrated marketing manager. She was promoted to the role of KOA’s senior email and data analyst in 2016. For the past year, Simpson has successfully coordinated and executed the consumer marketing portion of the VKR program.

Digital management, as well as all social media and emailing functions at Kampgrounds of America, have been placed under the direction of Cole Reinhardt, KOA’s director of digital marketing. Reinhardt will now be responsible for overseeing digital marketing, emailing and social media strategy and execution, as well as developing KOA’s marketing technologies for its website, the KOA app and the analytics and reporting involved with all digital and social marketing technologies.

Reinhardt came to KOA in 2011 to serve as digital marketing coordinator. He has played an integral role in making KOA’s website, a major website for camping, and positioned KOA as a leader in the digital marketplace. The website now represents 44 percent of all of KOA’s advanced camping reservations, and had almost 25 million visitors in 2017.
