Mulvaney named chair of NFPA Committee

Doug Mulvaney, director of Facilities Development for Kampgrounds of America Inc., has been named chairman of the National Fire Protection Association Recreational Vehicle Committee. This committee is responsible for the revisions to two standards documents, NFPA 1192, and NFPA 1194. The Committee oversees changes to standards for recreational vehicles, as well as for RV parks and campgrounds throughout the U.S.

Mulvaney has been with Kampgrounds of America for the past six years, and works directly with KOA owners and managers to develop and enhance campground facilities at the 486 KOA locations throughout North America. He also serves on several additional national committees charged with setting and maintaining electrical codes and standards for the American National Standards Institute and is a voting member of Panel 19 of the National Electrical Code for the National Fire Protection Association.
