The Montana Rescue Mission has hired three new people to assist in serving the homeless of Billings and Yellowstone County.
Denise M. Smith is the new MRM public relations and marketing manager and will manage all media inquiries, tours and marketing of the organization. Smith will also work as a member of the development team in community and donor relations. Smith had served as the executive director for the Home Builders Association of Billings and Red Lodge. A graduate of Billings West, she has a bachelor's degree from the University of Montana School of Journalism in radio/television. She has also served as the executive director of Flathead Business and Industry Association, as the NWMT field representative for former Sen. Conrad Burns and was the director of operations for the Kalispell Chamber.
Ryan Cremer will be the MRM major donor relations manager. Previously, Cremer served as the development director for the Yellowstone Art Museum, as program coordinator with Yellowstone CASA, and as a family support specialist with A.W.A.R.E. Inc. A graduate of Billings West, Cremer has a bachelor's degree in liberal studies from UM. Because MRM is entirely funded by private donations, Cremer will cultivate donor relations, maximize donor engagement and manage the planned giving program.
Sandy Guerra is the MRM's human resources specialist. Guerra had served as the human resource technician of the University of Las Vegas. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from UNLV. Guerra will oversee all HR functions including payroll, HR compliance and recruiting, hiring, training and retaining employees.
