Rice Rose has received an Exceptional Service Award from ASHRAE at its 2014 Annual Conference in Seattle. The award recognizes Distinguished Service Award recipients who have continued to serve the Society with exemplary effort. Rose is owner and CEO of Mechanical Technology in Billings. Programs to increase membership and better serve existing members were developed during his time as chair of the membership promotion committee. Rose has been involved with Technology Committees 7.7, Testing and Balancing, and 7.9, Building Commissioning, for years and recently served as director and regional chair of Region IX.
