Ric Zimmerman of Zimmerman’s Portrait Designs in Billings has earned the Certified Professional Photographer designation from Professional Photographers of America after meeting rigorous requirements measuring his artistic and technical competence. Professional Photographers of America currently recognizes fewer than 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers. Requirements include completing a written examination, an image evaluation and adhering to a stringent code of conduct. Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis.
