Live from the Divide/Winifred Grocery free concert in Winifred
To celebrate its 100th birthday, the iconic Winifred Grocery is partnering with Live from the Divide to bring an evening of top shelf music and fun to downtown Winifred on August 1st.
The excitement starts at 8 pm, as Jason Wickens kicks things off with his music style that reflects his FM radio country upbringing mixed with strong Americana influences.
Following will be Kostas playing with Wade Montgomery. Kostas is a renowned singer and prolific songwriter, and has penned hit for artists such as Dwight Yoakam and Patty Loveless. Wade Montgomery is a legend in the Montana country music community, known for songs such as “Swayback Horses” and others that tell stories from his ranch and reservation life experiences.
The headliners for the evening are Sam Platts and the Kootenai Three. This Idaho-based band brings a strong honky tonk traditional country sound that will have everyone dancing on the lawn until closing time. This up-and-coming band is making its mark all over Montana and the western United States, and Winifred Grocery and Live from the Divide are very excited to have them come to Winifred.
The concert will be taped live for broadcast on the “Live from the Divide” radio program.
Admission to the concert is free. For information about hotel and camping options, along with updates and news about this event, please visit www.winifredgrocery.com.
