To report a crime call the non-emergency dispatch center at (406) 657-8200 or fill out the Billings Police nonemergency online report form.  To anonymously report information that may help solve a crime, call the Crimestoppers hotline at (406) 245-6660.

This map shows a selection of reported crimes, updated by 12 p.m. daily with the previous day's crimes.  If a daily report is not available, some crimes maybe excluded from the map.

Crimes are categorized as major or minor. Click on the colored icons that mark the crime locations to bring up details on each crime.

Police respond to more calls than are shown. Common calls such as disturbances, suspicious activity, non-DUI related accidents are excluded. Suicides and police transports of the mentally ill to hospitals also are excluded.

This map only shows crimes inside city limits. It doesn't include crimes handled by the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Department or other law enforcement agencies.

When more than one crime occurs in the same incident, the map shows the most serious crime. Because the info is so new it may change as police verify what happened or classify incidents in new categories. The map will not reflect those changes.

Crime locations are approximate.
