RED LODGE — The University of Montana’s Montana Repertory Theatre is presenting its fall educational outreach tour of "Raised in the Saddle: The Phantasmagorical Journey of a Future Rodeo Queen," by Jay Kettering.

The tour stops in Red Lodge for a show that is open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 10:05 to 11:05 a.m.

Told in under 55 minutes, this comedy rolls across the Big Sky state telling the story of a teenage cowgirl Alice Greenough as she encounters a who’s-who list of famous Montanans.

With a company of only two actors, the play features puppetry, shadow play and other theatrical effects.

The Carbon County Arts Guild is the tour to Red Lodge with a performance and student workshop to be held at Red Lodge High School.

Students in 7-12 grades from Red Lodge and surrounding areas will be invited to attend the Oct. 5 performance in the school gym at the high school. The general public is welcome to attend the performance as seating permits. Following the performance, a special theatrical workshop will be conducted for the high school's students.
