Billings Senior High is presenting “Imagine That! Stories to Stage” at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 in the school auditorium.

The production features creative staging and storytelling leading the audience in exploring the imagination through stories.

The production is suitable for all ages. Tickets at the door are $5 for students and $8 for adults.

The production stages two stories by C. Harold Smith for his grandson, Kane Johnson. They were published in Smith’s book “The Grandpa Stories.”

The first story explores the exciting world of possibilities through the boy’s imaginary friend Rex in a swashbuckling pirate tale. The next divulges the mysterious origin of fairy rings, those circles that magically appear in meadow lands.

Two Native American tales and “The Paradise of Children,” the Pandora story as told by Nathaniel Hawthorne, round out the performance.

Students involved in the ensemble production include Anna Bottrell, Amelia Brooks, Deandra Evanson, Miranda Fryer, Kane Johnson, Taylor Larson, Mitchell Meyer, Will Pavek, Tim Shawhan, Kaden Sterkenberger, Ellen Taylor, Saige Vacca, Kim Wittig and Cameron Wood.
