A juried student art show opens Thursday with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at Montana State University Billings’ Northcutt Steele Gallery.
Awards will be announced at 6 p.m. The guest juror was Jane Waggoner Deschner, a former student of MSUB, where she earned an art degree. She earned her master’s degree from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. The show opening is free.
Submissions were open to all students currently enrolled at MSUB. The artwork selected showcases the rich talents and diverse visions of MSUB students working across a broad range of media.
“The exhibition is a great professional development opportunity for our student artists, offering them experiences with the process of preparing artwork for gallery display and familiarizing them with the process of juried exhibitions,” according to Gallery Director Leanne Gilbertson.
The Northcutt Steele Gallery is located on the first floor of the Liberal Arts on the Montana State University Billings campus. For more information please visit: www.msubillings.edu/gallery or www.facebook.com/northcuttsteelegallery.
