Billings artists Dana Zier and Laura Marie Anderson are teaming up to paint a mural on the alley side of Limber Tree Yoga, 212 N. 29th St.

The mural, titled “Sunset Paradise,” will start going up Friday.

Zier, owner of Big Sky Blue Gallery, said Limber Tree owner Sharli Kiner wanted to have a mural since Limber Tree opened in September 2012.

Mural samples were shown, ideas were generated, sketches were submitted for approval and finally the color sample approved by Kiner and the building’s owner, Bruce Lee.

Zier painted her first mural with Ivan Long on the Roberts Elevator in 1997. Since that time she has completed more than 130 murals, both public and private.

Anderson has painted with Zier for years, from the time they met in college. They have collaborated on a few murals together, and Anderson has painted more than 10 murals.

The “Anytime Fitness Mountain” was the last collaborative mural Zier and Anderson completed.
