The Ryniker-Morrison Gallery in Tech Hall on the campus of Rocky Mountain College will house the exhibit "Study in Italy" beginning Thursday with a public opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m.

The exhibit, which runs through March 25, will feature work that was completed during the semester abroad program and work that was influenced by the time spent in Italy by the students in attendance.

The semester-long study abroad program offered students opportunities to study painting, drawing, ceramics, art history and printmaking classes at the Villa Pieve near Perugia, Italy, along with Italian language, music and cultural studies.

Students also traveled to other locations in Italy, including Rome and Florence, to experience the rich artistic and cultural life in those ancient cities firsthand.

Gallery hours at the Ryniker-Morrison Gallery are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
