In honor of National Poetry Month, poet Danell Jones will be offering a new course to help writers compose a poem every day during the month of April.
Each day of the month participants will receive an email with a writing prompt. The group will gather every Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. March 29 to April 26 at the Western Heritage Center to share writing experiences. Participants will have the option of sharing poems and receiving feedback.
The class is for poets of any level who want to renew their commitment to a writing practice or who just love a challenge.
The five-week course with daily prompts costs $145. There is a 20 percent discount for anyone who registers with a friend. Anyone unable to attend the Saturday session can register to receive the daily writing prompts. To register, email Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Danell Jones’s poetry, fiction, essays and reviews have appeared in numerous publications. She is the author of the poetry chapbook "Desert Elegies," a New Women’s Voices finalist forthcoming from Finishing Line Press and The Virginia Woolf Writers’ Workshop: Seven Lessons to Inspire Great Writing from Random House.
