Award-winning Montana author Rick Bass and the orchestral folk band Stellarondo combine forces for an evening of story and music at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Babcock Theatre.

The concert is the opening event for The Big Read, presented by the YMCA Writer’s Voice and the Billings Public Library. Book discussions, readings, art exhibitions and a film series will be held in libraries, museums and schools in Billings and six counties in Eastern Montana in February and March.

Pick up a free copy of Charles Portis’s "True Grit" at the Billings Public Library and sign up for a Big Read book discussion. Participants can also download free, high-quality, educational materials at neabigread.org.

Tickets for Rick Bass & Stellarondo are $15, free for students. Tickets are available at the YMCA or online at billingsymca.org.
