PRYOR - Tours, demonstrations, and a picnic lunch are available to the public during Plenty Coups Picnic Day on Sunday, July 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 .m. at Chief Plenty Coups State Park.
This special event is in commemoration of Montana State Parks 75th Anniversary, and 100 free Subway sandwich combo meals will be given away to visitors in the promotion.
There will be guided tours of the Chief Plenty Coups’ home, a National Historic Landmark, tribal game demonstrations, and at 1 p.m. “Biscuits and Buffalo: Squashing Myths about Food in Indian Country” will be presented by Cindy Ott, from St. Louis University.
The public will also be entered to win free Montana State Parks 75th Anniversary merchandise from the state park gift shop on site.
The state park picnic grounds are located near the scenic Pryor Mountains and along the backdrop of Pryor Creek.
