Due to low vendor participation, the Art & Soul Festival, scheduled for June 21 in downtown Billings, has been canceled.

“This was a very difficult decision for the planning committee to make, but for whatever reasons we were unable to get enough alternative-healing practitioners and artists together to pull off this years event,” said Jim Nymeyer, owner of Barjon’s Books and organizer of the event. “It is our hope that the Art & Soul Festival will live on. We are currently looking to next year’s event to see how we might evolve and improve participation.”

Lisa Harmon, of the Downtown Billings Association, is meeting with the Public Art Committee on Tuesday to determine whether the Chalk On the Walk component will still be held.
