The Huntley Project Lions Club is presenting the 50th annual Homesteader Days on July 11 and 12.

The event features Diamond Rio, Restless Heart and The Bucky Beaver Ground Grippers on July 11 in an outdoor setting. The concert wraps up at 1 a.m.

On Saturday, July 12, the traditional Homesteader Days activities take place, which features a country fair type of event.

The profits this year will go to community groups in Huntley. Organizers are expecting to make a net profit of $50,000.

This event takes place at Homesteader Park (between Huntley and Worden on Hwy 312), an 8-acre park with plenty of trees for shade, a stage, playground, running track and Homesteader Hall.
