Motion Arts Dance Co. is holding auditions for young, experienced dancers on Aug. 10.
MADCO was founded in 2012 by Betty Loos and Julia Marble, prompted by the desire to offer dance students from all over Billings increased opportunities to perform in the area.
During the past two years, the company has performed in the Fringe Festival at NOVA Center for the Performing Arts, with Terpsichore Dance Co. at the Babcock Theater, and downtown at the ArtWalk. The group also performs an annual spring show at Lewis and Clark Middle School Auditorium. Dances are created by local choreographers with guest choreographers coming from as far away as New York City.
Marble, co-director of the School of Classical Ballet and owner of the new Montana Dance Center, describes MADCO as “a community-based dance company striving to share the full artistic journey of study, practice and performance using the mediums of jazz, modern and ballet.”
