The historic Billings Depot is hosting the children’s event, The Polar Express, on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9. There will be two shows each day at 4 and 7 p.m.
The Polar Express is a family event based on the award-winning book and movie. This evening for children of all ages begins when the kids arrive dressed in their pajamas. The kids are plied with hot chocolate and cookies, then snuggle up on a large red rug surrounding a stage, where Rocky Mountain College students act out scenes from the story to set the mood. At the point in the story where Santa arrives, Santa will arrive outside with a sound and light show on a train headed for the North Pole.
Santa will come in to visit with each of the children, where he will hand-deliver and autograph a 25th Anniversary copy of the Polar Express book for each child, along with a special bell. Professional pictures will be taken with Santa, who will also sing Christmas carols with the kids.
Tickets are $25 each. They are available by calling the Billings Depot, at 656-7273, or stopping by the office, at 2310 Montana Ave.
