Friday, Aug. 8, 9 a.m.: Fred Child shares his love of classical music through concerts, music news, features and interviews on “Performance Today.”

Saturday, Aug. 9, 7 p.m.: New Celtic releases and debuts of this summer on “The Thistle and Shamrock.”

Sunday, Aug. 10, 7 p.m.: Monteverdi’s “The Coronation of Poppea,” featuring one of the steamiest love-duets ever composed for opera, is presented from Palais Garnier in Paris on “World of Opera.”

Monday, Aug. 11, 2 p.m.: American popular music legend Burt Bacharach shares selections from his Grammy- and Oscar-winning body of work on “Piano Jazz.”

Tuesday, Aug. 12, 7 p.m.: “Humankind” examines how retirees are overcoming loneliness and depression by contributing to society through an “encore career.”

Wednesday, Aug. 13, 11 a.m.: The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center presents a concert focusing on the clarinet with music of Bernstein and Brahms.

Thursday, Aug. 14, 11 a.m.: Teen musicians, including a percussionist on marimba and a soprano-viola duo joined by Christopher O’Riley, perform on “From the Top.”
