Friday, April 18, 2 p.m.: “Riverwalk Jazz” pays tribute to trumpet wizard Harry “Sweets” Edison, known for his solos with the Count Basie Band.

Saturday, April 19, 7 p.m.: Classic combinations of Celtic musical threesomes are featured on “The Thistle & Shamrock.”

Sunday, April 20, noon: Teen musicians perform Debussy, Tchaikovsky and Liszt from the Aspen Music Festival & School on “From the Top.”

Monday, April 21, 11 a.m.: Valery Gergiev reflects on his work as a conductor and plays recordings of his favorite music on “Mad About Music.”

Tuesday, April 22, 7 p.m.: World-famous investor John Bogle discusses what is “enough,” both financially and spiritually, on “Humankind.”

Wednesday April 23, 8 p.m.: Andras Schiff conducts the San Francisco Symphony and solos on Bach’s Keyboard Concertos Nos. 2 and 1 in a concert from Davies Symphony Hall.

Thursday, April 24, 8 p.m.: Professor Beth Shapiro discusses how prehistoric DNA explains populations and how species change through time on “City Arts & Lectures.”
