MONTANA — Eugene’s Pizza of Glasgow won the Montana Mint March Madness Montana Pizza Bracket Contest for the second year in a row.

Eugene’s won in the contest’s final round over Howard’s Pizza (Great Falls), Nalivka’s (Havre) and Mackenzie River Pizza (everywhere).

Eugene also won the Montana Mint pizza contest in 2015.

This year, more than 30,000 votes were cast on the Montana Mint website, Facebook and Twitter. Starting with 60 pizza places, fans voted in three rounds over three weeks to pick the winner. In an effort to bring in some new places that might be off the beaten path, fans could pick the 16th spot in the Sweet 16 through write-in ballot, which Stetch’s Pizza (Malta) won.

“All I can say is Wow – this is such an honor! We owe so much to our loyal customers, friends, family, fans and followers," said Sam Knodel from Eugene’s.
