This will be no ordinary gig for Billings rock band Ellen and the Old School.
First off, Saturday's show at Yellowstone Valley Brewing Co.'s Garage Pub from 5 to 8 p.m. is the final show for bass player Sam Hamm, who is moving to Seattle.
"It won’t just be a regular show, though, as each set will be a different thing," Hamm said.
The first set will be songs from guitarist Scot Ninnemann's original project called The Innocents Abroad. That group consists of Ninnemann, Hamm, Mark Moak (drums), Scot’s wife and Jenifer Parks (vox), and Jayme Green (guitar, box).
The second set will be the farewell set for Ellen and the Old School.
The third set includes Ellen and the Old School, featuring vocalist Ellen Moak, and a "bunch of friends," Hamm said.
"We’re going to play the 'Abbey Road' album front-to-back. Folks joining us include Alex Nauman, Parker Brown, Tony Hammond, and others. It’s is going to be a blast," Hamm said.
