Jay Farrar & Ben Gibbard - One Fast Move and I'm Gone (Atlantic)

Son Volt's Farrar and Death Cab For Cutie's Gibbard originally teamed up just to write a couple songs for the soundtrack to the Jack Kerouac documentary of the same name that examines the events in the beat legend's life that led to the novel "Big Sur."

After recording a couple of songs in 2007, Farrar and Gibbard returned to San Francisco, where Gibbard was writing "Narrow Stairs," to write an album's worth of tunes using Kerouac's words as lyrics.

The DVD is also out today, and can be bought with the CD as a deluxe package.
