The Billings West High Drama Department is presenting "Radium Girls" by D.W. Gregory in the West High Auditorium.
All performances of the play, which runs Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 29-31, begin at 7:30 p.m., with an additional performance on the final day at 2 p.m. Adult tickets are $5 and student tickets are $3. Activity passes will be honored.
"Radium Girls" is about a group of young women who painted luminous dials for World War I pilots and then fell ill due to the radium in the paint. This is the story of their fight against the U.S. Radium Corporation and the lawsuits that brought the dangers of radium into the public view.
In addition to the performances, West High's Thespian Troupe 5746 is sponsoring a food drive to support a program called Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat. Anyone attending the play is asked to donate canned goods or nonperishables. All food will be donated to the Billings Food Bank. This is the sixth year that West High Thespians have participated in the program.
