The holidays are coming! The holidays are coming!

Unlike redcoats, though, you can't fight them. But you can prepare early by hitting church bazaars in search of handcrafted items and homemade pies. You should probably eat the pies before Christmas, but they might be OK by Thanksgiving.

Here are a few locations to check out this Saturday: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Hope United Methodist Church, 244 Wicks Lane; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Atonement Lutheran Church, 407 Wicks Lane; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 226 Wicks Lane; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Hope Lutheran Church, 1911 Highway 87 E.

Two more weeks to see Lea Zoltowski's brash, colorful ceramic sculptures. They scream "touch me," but when you get up close, you start to see the spiky claws and membrane-colored coils. Her work is up through Nov. 14 in the faculty show in the Northcutt Steele Gallery at Montana State University Billings' L.A. Building. Also showing work are Brian Cast, Shan Cousrouf, Candace Forrette, Neil Jussila, Dennis Kern, Connie M. Landis, John Pollock, Marcia Selsor, and Ben Steele.
