Cooper brings blues to Livingston’s Depot

LIVINGSTON - Blues at the Depot returns with Selwyn Cooper & The Hurricane Blues Band at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Livingston Depot, 200 W. Park St.

Cooper, a master of the Louisiana swamp blues guitar, has gathered some of his Louisiana friends to help present some new songs and refresh a few of the standards. Cooper started playing guitar professionally in 1971 with Buckwheat and the Hitchhikers R&B band, later known as Buckwheat Zydeco, playing concerts across the U.S. and Europe. This guitar virtuoso of jazz, blues and zydeco has contributed to two Grammy Award-winning CDs.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Conley's Books and Music and The Gourmet Cellar and The Depot in Livingston, as well as Cactus Records and Vargos Books in Bozeman.
