You've only got a little over a week to create your master work! Venture Theatre is taking submissions for its annual one-act play festival through Sunday, Nov. 1. A $10 submission fee and a 20-minute piece gets your foot in the theater door. The festival is open to Montana, Wyoming and Idaho residents only. A caveat: You have to be open to some editing once the plays are produced. It's a workshop atmosphere. For more information, call 591-9535 or go to venturetheatre.org.
Playing modern melodies on centuries-old instruments, the Ahn Trio brings the string trio into a new era. The three sisters, born in Seoul and educated at Juilliard in New York, perform works by modern, visionary composers. They will give a free lecture demonstration today at the Alberta Bair Theater from 5 to 6 p.m. and perform a concert Saturday at the ABT. Call 256-6052 for tickets.
