GLENDIVE - A "Monster Walk," hosted at the Makoshika Dinosaur Museum, 111 W. Bell St., will feature new displays and an expansion to the basement in a sneak peek of the 2010 season from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
The walk is a fundraiser to help match a grant for TOD signs. These tourism signs will be on Highway 200 and Highway 16 to encourage visitors to visit the museum and Glendive's downtown businesses. Guest speaker Dave Trexler, a vertebrae paleontologist from the Two Medicine Dinosaur Center, will speak (weather permitting for travel).
The "Monster Walk" is $5 a person; children 3 and younger walk free. For more information, call 406-377-1637.
From 8 p.m. to midnight, Phoenix Phire and DJ of Midnight Express, host a rock concert, dance and costume contest with prizes at Hungry Joe Hall. Tickets are limited to 200 due to space. Phoenix Phire is an all-teenage girl rock band from Glendive. Concessions will be sold on site. No outside food or beverages, please. Tickets are $5 and are being sold at Hell Creek Music & More in Glendive, 406-377-7977.
