BUFFALO, Wyo. — Bluegrass, folk and Americana music as well as Wyoming’s State Championship banjo and mandolin contests are all on tap at the Big Horn Mountain Festival at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo.
The festival, now in its 10th year, runs July 11, 12 and 13. Advance tickets are $75 for the three-day festival. They are available at the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, and The Sports Lure in Buffalo, The WYO Theater in Sheridan, Haggerty’s Musicworks in Gillette, Hansen Music in Billings, or online at bighornmountainfestival.com.
Performers this year include Foghorn Stringband, Houston Jones, the Blue Canyon Boys, the Barefoot Movement, the Jalan Crossland Band, Melody Walker and Jacob Groopman, the Jeff Troxel Trio, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Betse Ellis and Kasey Rausch.
There will also be contests, demonstrations and instrument raffles. Food, refreshment and arts and crafts vendors are also part of the three-day event.
