Organizers of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s have teamed up with the Garage Pub at Yellowstone Valley Brewing Co. to celebrate the longest day of the year, June 21.
The Solstice Show will feature Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Voted Best Blues in 2012 by the Dallas Observer Music Awards, Elmore is a Texas-based singer, songwriter and guitarist. He fronts a high-energy touring band, Hoodoo Witch, and tours as a solo acoustic act.
Elmore brings together elements of American music in performances that bridge the gap between blues, rock, ’60s soul, vintage country and jazz.
Cover charge for the show is $10, which includes a taco bar sponsored by Marquis Grand Park Senior Living.
In addition to entertainment and food, the event includes an adult duck pond, chicken roulette and a 50/50. The featured drink of the night will be the forget-me-not, a mixture of the Yellowstone Valley Brewing Company’s distilled vodka and huckleberry flavoring. George Moncure, owner of the Yellowstone Valley Brewing and one of the planners of the event, will donate $1 for every forget-me-not sold.
