In a buying frenzy unparalleled in MetraPark's history, 40,000 tickets to Garth Brooks sold Friday in 36 minutes.

The June 10 show at MetraPark's Rimrock Auto Arena was announced last month and just three minutes after the tickets went on sale, the additional shows were announced and all available tickets were sold. A fifth show has been confirmed, but the date will not be released until the morning of Monday, May 8.

The other shows are June 9, 10 and 11.

There are 10,700 tickets available to each show. Show times are 7 p.m. on June 9, 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on June 10, and 3 p.m. on June 11.

The last time Brooks played in Billings was in 1998 when he sold out four shows at MetraPark, drawing more than 42,000 people to the Billings arena.

Garth Brooks has a phenomenal draw. In Kansas City, Missouri, he sold out seven shows scheduled for this week, selling more than 100,000 tickets in under eight hours.

Garth is the No. 1 selling solo artist in United States history. He has sold 160 million albums worldwide and was named the 2016 Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year.

Tickets for the fifth show, announced Monday morning, will be available at or by calling 1-800-228-6622. All tickets are sold best available and cost $65.98 plus additional charges for facility and processing fees for a total of $74.98. There is an eight ticket limit.

MetraPark marketing director Ray Massie said tickets cannot be printed until closer to the concert dates to avoid pirating and online scams.

Still, Garth tickets showed up on various websites by Friday afternoon, going for as high as $610.
