A Montana talent competition, which is being produced as a television show that will air on Montana stations, kicks off auditions in Billings on Feb. 11 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Billings Hilton Inn.

The competition features only Montana musical and artistic performers, and is designed to give local amateurs a chance at a show business career.

Seven Montana towns will host auditions this spring. In addition to Billings, auditions will be held in Kalispell , Bozeman, Missoula, Great Falls, Helena, and Butte in March and April.

The acts which make the cut at auditions will perform on stage at Music Ranch Montana in Livingston, where the TV show will be recorded in June.

The competition flows from week to week with at least one act being bumped each week through the schedule of 26 programs, which begin airing in August.

The three winning acts will be awarded a professional recording session at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. They each will receive a fully produced and distributed DVD of a selection of their works.

To apply for an audition slot at the Billings audition, call Richard Rosanova at 406-220-0347 before Feb 8.
