When Ryan Pelton appeared in Billings 15 months ago, he announced his retirement as an Elvis impersonator, but he’s back for a 7:30 p.m. show April 12 at the Alberta Bair Theater.
Tickets are on sale at 256-6052 or albertbairtheater.org.
Pelton quit his act to pursue a movie career. However, due to a delayed release date for his first movie, Pelton is on the road again as Elvis Presley in a new show, “Pieces Of My Life ... The King and Me.”
Pelton will include stories and songs from the movie “The Identical.” He will also feature some duets with special guest D’arcy Park. The tour comes right before Pelton heads to Nashville where “The Identical” will be the opening movie for screening at the Nashville Film Festival.
Starring Pelton, who is also known as Blake Rayne for the movie, along with Ashley Judd and Ray Liotta, “The Identical” is the story of a young couple with identical twin boys in the depths of the Great Depression.
Unable to care for both, the couple gives one son to be raised and adopted by an Evangelist minister and his wife. The film tells the story of the separated twins, Drexel Hemsley and Ryan Wade. One of the boys becomes the most famous rock ‘n’ roll legend in the world, Drexel Hemsley, while Ryan Wade struggles to find balance between his love for music and trying to please his Evangelist father.
