Indie folk-rock duo You Knew Me When are set to perform at Yellowstone Cellars & Winery at 8 p.m. on Aug. 16.

There is no cover charge.

After uprooting from their Nashville home and full-time jobs in June 2012, the husband-and-wife musicians set plans to tour the nation for a full year. They still haven’t stopped.

They independently released their first studio album “You, Me, and the Rest of the World,” an LP that conveys the melding of Karisa and Cie’s musical styles. It is an album that features a fusion of progressive indie-rock and folk compositions infused with myriad stirring beats.

Karisa, who previously served as a Nashville public school music teacher, provides the piano, ukulele and glockenspiel, while Cie, who spent several years as the Global Events Manager for Gibson Guitar, supplies the guitar and rhythmic nuances. The cumulative result is a musical style that blends a singer-songwriter soul with a pop/rock mentality.

The duo plans to record its second studio album later this year.
