Jim and Betty Ann Roan of Billing celebrated their 50th anniversary with 150 guests at a dinner and dance at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center.

Betty Ann Boggess and Jim Roan were married June 11, 1962, in Hardin.

Jim retired from the Department of Transportation in 1994 and Beta Seed Company in 2001. He has since started his own solar company (Ra Solar). Betty Ann worked for the Mental Health Center for 13 years and currently works as the deputy administrator of Alternatives, Inc., serving as the director of Alpha House and Beta Alternatives. They lived in Columbus for 30 years before moving to Billings in 2000.

Their children are Jessie Johnson (Bruce) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Jason Roan (Shelley). They have four grandchildren.
