BRIDGER — Al (Alan D.) Higbee, 61, of Bridger, Mont., died July 10, 2014, at Billings Health & Rehabilitation Community. Cremation and private family services have taken place.
Al was born Aug. 9, 1952, in Great Falls, Mont. He is survived by daughters, Joli and Kade, both of Billings; mother, Betty Higbee; sister, Nancy (Jay) Bennett; and niece, Tabitha, all of Bridger, Mont.; brother, Dennis (MaeEtta) Higbee; and two nephews, JR and Darian, all of Great Falls, Mont. His father, Marlin Higbee, preceded him in death.
He graduated from Great Falls High School in 1971. He worked as a carpenter for Birkenbuel Construction and then as warehouse manager for Pepsi. Subsequently he became general manager for the Taco Treat’s Amigo Lounge in Great Falls and was instrumental in getting Taco Treat’s brand of salsa distributed into grocery stores in Great Falls. In 1994, he achieved his dream of owning his own business, Really Windy’s Bar & Supper Club. He later worked for oil and gas pipeline companies and continued his carpentry profession.
One of his greatest treasures was his 1969 Ford Mustang that he worked through his high school years to purchase. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and camping. Al was very gregarious and kind hearted. His wild, crazy grin will be missed by all of those who knew him.
