Donna went to join her mother and father to be another angel with the Lord on Dec. 29, 2008.
She was born on May 10, 1940, in Conrad, to Raymond and Edna Dupler, attended Senior High School in Billings, where she met Robert "Bob" Cardwell and on July 5, 1959, they were married. After following Bob to his assignments in the air force, they settled in Billings to raise their three children.
Donna was proud of and very much loved her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her Grandma Sweetie, Grandma Toys or Grandma Lovie. She spent a lot of years helping and cheering at the motorcycle races while her sons and grandchildren raced.
Survivors include her husband Robert; her two sisters, Sharon (Leo) Schaff of Billings and Patricia (Dave) Quenzer of Forsyth; three children, Mark (Mary), Tom Cardwell and Sheri (Dick) Dede, all of Billings; 11 grandchildren, Matt (Leslie) of Park City and Kyle Cardwell of Billings, Sean, Austin and Tyler Cardwell of Billings, Taylor and Kaitlyn Grant, Ada, Kevin and Michael Dede, all of Billings; and two great-grandchildren, Eli Vasquez, and Kaiya Rae Cardwell. Also numerous brothers-in-laws, sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a bright spot in every life she touched, and will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 3, 2009, at Cremation & Funeral Gallery, 29 Eighth St. West, Billings. A reception will follow the service.
