Asa “Ace” Cantrell died July 21, in Billings, at the age of 88 years old. He is survived by three children, John (Ann) Cantrell, Kathie (Gary) Finley, and Carol (Pete) Haugan, as well as seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; his parents; and 16 siblings. He lived in Tracy, Mont., with his wife, Maxine, for 50 years. They were married for 68 years.

He worked as a painter and retired from Columbus Hospital after working there for 27 years.

The family would like to thank Butterfly Homes and their staff for the loving care he received and for making it his second home. We would also like to thank RiverStone Hospice for their kind and gentle care.

A family service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
