MT ANGEL, Ore. — Born to Joseph and Lula Magnusson in Oto, Iowa, raised on the homestead in Recluse, Wyo. She graduated from high school in Gillette, Wyo., completed her teachers training in Spearfish, S.D. She taught for many years and worked in the capacity of administrative school secretary. She married Vaughn Walker in 1951. They lived in Mott, N.D., Casper, Wyo., and Sidney, Mont., raising two sons, being active in the Methodist Church, Scouts, PEO and many community groups.

After retirement, they lived in Billings, and Walla Walla, Wash. After Vaughn’s passing, she moved to Oregon, residing in Mt Angel until her death. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

She was competitive at Bingo and loved many other games. She was a wonderful cook, caring friend, outstanding mother, and cherished wife and sister.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Nancy; brother Calvin; sister Arlene. She is survived by brother Jack; sisters Jo Fulton and Arrilla Ford; sons Jim (Becky) of Silverton, Ore., and Gary (Felice) of Rockaway, N.J.; grandchildren Thomas, Michael, Emily, Beth, Casey, Bradley, Kyle, and Travis Walker; and one great-granddaughter Jasmine.

A service will be held on June 22, details are pending. Arrangements are by Unger Funeral Chapel, Silverton.
