JOLIET — In the early morning of Jan. 16, 2013, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother peacefully left this life on earth into the Lord’s loving arms and to be greeted by her parents, siblings and other family and friends in Heaven. Beulah was residing in Laurel, Mont., at The TenderNest assisted living facility at the time of her passing.

Beulah was born on June 22, 1921, in Sterling, Colo., the daughter of A. Olan and Edna Jackson-Warman. She graduated from Lakewood, Colo., High School. Beulah was married in 1940 to Kenneth Dunafon which produced a daughter, Sandra; then, in 1947, was married to Leo W. Haas, which produced a daughter, Robin, and a son, Gregory.

Mom’s greatest focus in life was her family. She was very proud of her kids, grand and great-grandkids. She was a true family person. Always glad to have family and friends over for dinner or provide help wherever needed.

Mom’s accomplishments were many. Professionally she was a secretary for many years and then a loan officer until she retired. Mom was an excellent cook and seamstress. She could throw together a small or huge dinner without much notice or sew a special outfit without much thought. She always canned just about every fruit she could get her hands on, which would last through the year. She also loved to do crafts and displayed them at several craft shows. She was always up for an adventure, whether it was snow skiing, water skiing, camping, fishing, being a Girl Scout Leader or whatever challenge came her way. Mom was active in the First Baptist Church in Grand Junction, Colo., for many years, and then the Joliet Wesleyan Church after moving to Montana. Mom loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church and worshiping/fellowshipping with others.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents Olan and Edna Warman; her brother, Bob; and her twin sisters, Barbara and Betty.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Archie) Bickling of Boulder, Colo., Robin (Terry) Harper of Boyd, Mont., and Greg Haas of Billings. Grandkids are Hans Bickling, Thad (Rachel) Bickling, Derek Harper, Theron (Christina) Harper, Josh (Christy) Harper, Tyler (Jessica) Haas and Erika Haas. She also had the pleasure of nine great-grandkids.

A memorial service will be held at the Joliet Wesleyan Church, 402 W. Carbon Ave., on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. Cremation arrangements have been handled by Smith Funeral Chapels in Laurel, Mont., and private inurnment will take place in Joliet Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials given to Laurel TenderNest, 118 First St., Laurel, MT 59044 or a charity of your choice. They took such wonderful, loving care of mom, for which we will be ever grateful. Rest in peace, Mom. We love you and will deeply miss you.
