Bonnie J. Grebe McCaffree, 86, formerly of Custer, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth with her family by her side.
She was born April 9, 1928, in Melstone, Montana, the daughter of Ed and Caroline Grebe.
She graduated from Sumatra High School and married the love of her life, Clyde (Bus) McCaffree on Aug. 15, 1947, in Roundup. From this union six children were born: Ed, Roger, Rockie, Kitty, James and Annette. She loved camping, hunting agates, ranching, making patch work quilts and watching her children and grandchildren playing sports.
She is survived by her children, Ed (Sandy) McCaffree of Billings, Roger McCafree of Forsyth, Rockie (Dena) McCaffree of Reedpoint, Kitty McCaffree of Helena, Annette (Scott) Ruff of Custer, 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is proceeded in her death by her husband, Clyde; her parents, Ed and Caroline Grebe, infant son James.
Graveside services will be at the Musselshell County Cemetery in Musselshell at 11 a.m. on Aug. 30, with burial to follow. A luncheon will follow at the Musselshell School. Memorials may be made to the Musselshell Community School Foundation, Musselshell, or Rosebud Foundation in Forsyth.
