Shiikaaiichaa "Good Boy" was born on Oct. 21, 1940, the son of Woodrow "Shorty" Pretty On Top and Dorothy Iron Horse in Crow Agency. He was a member and child of the Ties the Bundle Clan. He was also a member of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church of Lodge Grass. Buckley also practiced his faith regularly in the Crow Sweat Lodge and helped his children and other relatives as they participated in the Sundance. He was a quiet man whose opinions about the world and society were usually "right on" and were widely respected.

He and his wife were avid horse racing fans who followed the circuit throughout Montana, developing many friends along the way.

He was a self-taught auto mechanic and helped all who came to him with car problems. He was an avid big game hunter in his youth and enjoyed his many packhorse trips into the Big Horn Mountains.

He especially enjoyed the company of his grandchildren, many of whom he raised as his own children. He was a friend who would stay with you through thick and thin.
