SHERIDAN, Wyo. — David Aller, 61, of Sheridan, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, from an accident in Sheridan.
David was born on June 9, 1951, in Sheridan to Lester and Mary Aller. At an early age, David began to follow in his father's footsteps as he learned mechanical skills while working beside his dad at Les' Garage.
David graduated from Sheridan High School and served with the Wyoming National Guard before he and his parents emigrated to Moricetown, British Columbia, Canada, where they owned Skeena Market. In addition to keeping very busy with the family business, David was a dedicated volunteer with the ambulance service for Moricetown and was highly respected by the Wet'suwt'en people of Moricetown for his compassionate volunteer work on behalf of their village. While living in Canada, David became interested in tae kwon do.
After his father passed away, David and his mother continued to operate Skeena Market until 1990, when they returned to Sheridan.
In addition to having a strong work ethic, David was generous and thoughtful. He was happiest when he could be doing something to help others.
David will be greatly missed by his sisters, Linda Newman of Springdale, Ark.; Janice Aller of Arlington, Va.; and Sharon Renner of Bismarck, N.D. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Memorials to honor David may be made to the Sheridan Senior Center at 211 Smith St., Sheridan, WY 82801; or to the Big Horn County Historical Museum, Route 1, Hardin, MT 59034.
