David Arthur Erickson, 62,  passed away Aug. 16, 2014, at his home in El Cajon, Calif., of a brain aneurysm.

David was born June 12, 1952, in Wolf Point, to Adrine and Irene Erickson. David attended grade school in Vida, and graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1970. He received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Biola University.

David married Carolyn Reed in 1975, and they had one daughter, Lisa Marie Erickson. They made their home in Wolf Point and California. They later divorced. David worked many years as postmaster in El Cajon, Calif., and retired in 2011. David then began working at Bridgepoint Education until the time of his passing.

David will be remembered for his energy and enthusiasm for life, his readiness and willingness to help others and his creativity as shown in the many small businesses he started. His family and many friends will miss him. But, David’s greatest joy in life was his daughter, Lisa. David always said that everything he ever did or accomplished was for her. And Lisa loves her dad.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa of Hollywood, Calif.; his parents, Irene and Adrine Erickson of Wolf Point; his brother, Bruce (Tamara) Erickson of Fullerton, Calif.; his twin brother, Douglas (Rosanne) Erickson of Wolf Point; his sister, Elaine (Jeff) Long of Wolf Point; his nephews, Jay (Loverty) Erickson, Brad Erickson, Jory Erickson and Tyler Long; and niece, Bethany Long.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
