HARDIN — Gladys "Scotty" Wiseman, 86, of Hardin, passed away March 2, 2012, in the Heritage Acres Nursing Home.

She was born April 17, 1925, in Belltower, Mont., to Milo and Etta Kennedy of Ekalaka. She grew up on the family ranch on Speelman Creek along with her brother Bill and sisters Ida Lee and Joann. She rode horseback to school everyday and worked on the family ranch until graduating from Ekalaka High School in 1943. Following her graduation, she moved to Baker and worked in the bank.

Scotty met and married Bob Wiseman in 1949, together they had five children, Linda (Harry) Kautzman of Hardin, Bobbie Ahl of Billings, Terry Potts (Terry Mason) of Hardin, Debbie (Bruce) Belden of Bozeman and Dennis Dean Wiseman. The family moved to Hardin in 1955 where she worked retail until the age of 81. She loved old country music, dancing, rodeos and watching basketball.

She was a member of the VFW Post 7481 and Eastern Star. Scotty was known as Grandma GG to her children, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a special friend whom she considered as a sister, Laura Clayton.

Her parents, beloved son Dennis, granddaughter Jennifer, brother and sisters preceded Scotty in death.

Our family would like to thank the staff and residents of Heritage Acres for their care and compassion. Rest peacefully, Mom.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
