Gordon H. Booth, 82, of Billings, passed away at home on July 16, 2014.
Gordy was born March 21, 1932, in Landusky. Gordy attended Harlem High School and graduated in 1951. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951, and was honorably discharged in 1955.
On April 8, 1956, Gordy married Hazel Hutton, of Turner. They had three daughters, Patsy, Pamela and Pauline; and one son, Gordon.
Gordy was employed by the Montana State Highway Department for 25 years and retired in 1981. He then drove the school bus in Cascade from 1981-1987. He served as councilman and mayor of Cascade for 9½ years. After many years living in Cascade, Gordy and Hazel relocated to Billings in 2008.
Gordy enjoyed fishing, hiking, panning for gold, watching sports on TV, and gardening and working in the yard. He attended Central Christian Church in Billings.
Gordy was preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Alice Booth; his son, Gordon; two brothers, Burl and David; and three sisters, Thelma, Colleen and Della.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; three daughters, Patsy (Alvy) Beck, Pamela Janacaro and Pauline (Neil) Edwards; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Booth; six grandchildren, Crystal, Amber, Nicole, Gena, Gordy and Garrett; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, George Booth; one sister, Tiny Stark; and one faithful companion, Abby.
Cremation has taken place. At his request, no services are planned. Cremation & Funeral Gallery handled all arrangements.
